Singles Day Out!

Yesterday was a fun-filled Sunday for the Elim Singles as we commenced our monthly socials dubbed as “The All Out Sports Getaway.” All geared up in our sports outfit, we started the day with a lively praise and worship at the ground floor of St. Augustine Rectory Building (Metropolitan Cathedral), followed by those full-packed action “indoor” games and a festive lunch shared by the Single Elimites in CDO and Gingoog, and some other invited singles too.










At around one o’clock in the afternoon, we then headed to Xavier Sports & Country Club for the event proper. Badminton, table tennis, bowling and basketball, we spent four straight hours, sweating it all out in every game. It’s been so long that I haven’t played table tennis then (I haven’t laid my hands on a table tennis racket for three years I guess), so I indulged myself on this sport after I’ve had enough bonding with the shuttlecock, hehe! I would have tried playing billiards after my table tennis session but I didn’t have much time though, as the group were already about to leave the sports arena. (Not unless I wanted to be left behind, and I would take the solo flight at the billiards pool, hahaha!).











A few more minutes before finally leaving Xavier Estates, we sat back, relaxed and had a mini singles conference near the bowling alley, hehehhe! A simple table talk that is… planning about our next singles monthly socials, the Excellence Conference in Manila this October, and the National Singles Conference 2007. Whew! A lot more activities in the list! And we are all excited to take part on these Christ-centered events. Go Singles! Go Elimites!
