Simple Treat, Big Fun!

I’m probably the happiest person today. Why? Because it’s my birthday, hehe! Tons of well wishers’ greetings and messages filled my inbox. And nothing makes my day any happier than getting a “VIP” call from those people close to my heart who can’t be here with me on this special day – my family back home, my bestfriend from afar, my classmate and my adventure buddy across the cities, and my very good friend miles away. Yep, mao ni sila ang mga pipol nga wala pa jud naka miss ug call sa akong birthday sukad naluma ang telepono ug nauso ang cellphone hehehe!.

What’s more with the big day? After I’ve attended the mass, I went to Dimsum to get a take-out dinner for my colleagues Fe and Teray who’s goin to invade my pad after office. It was an all-girls bonding session at my place then. Apart from the take-out dinner, we also enjoyed some home-cooked goodies for refreshments (thanks Teray for being my assistant in the kitchen, hehe!). And ooops! Where’s Fe? Aha! Busy preparing for the videoke session, haha! It seems the two girls got hooked to the music, ug nihirit pa jud ug computer games mao ng pasado ala-una na sa kaadlawon nakauli, hehehe! Thanks Fe and Teray for spending the night with me on my birthday. Lingaw jud kayo ko sa atong bonding!

For the weekend, I’m going home for sure! Got to have a belated birthday celebration at home. No big party as usual, just a simple dinner for the four of us – my mom, dad, sis and moi. And when I get back to work after my so-called birthday leave, time to celebrate the day with my colleagues (who had been reminding me of the magic word “TREAT”! hahaha!). See you all guys!

Valentine's Day Escapade

It’s the Day of Hearts once again! And everybody seems to be painting the city red. Well, love is in the air, so they say. For those who have read my previous year’s valentine article (with a very eye catching title that is!), you’d probably expect one common thing with today’s piece. Nah, it’s not the “three dates” I’ve mentioned, haha! The magic word is foodtrip! Oh yeh! Cupid’s day is never complete without food in mind!

We had some sort of resto-hopping then, and our first stop was at the Mallberry Suites. Seven ladies in a row invaded the dining table - Fe, Judith, Teray, Normy, Lynette, Mam Cecil and moi (sorry guys, exclusive for girls lang jud nga date, hehe!). “Sit back and relax over a cup of tea” was the motto for the night, so after we had our stomachs full, we enjoyed a short walk heading to Eastwok. Some few refreshments coupled with a cozy live band entertainment, swak na swak jud pang unwind sa sama namo nga nanga stress sa work, hehehe!

Have a stress-free Valentine’s Day, everyone!
